Image Builders Liberia Stands with the Community Against Drugs

Join the March

We are proud to reaffirm our full support for the upcoming Peaceful Anti-Drug March on August 7. As a youth-focused organization, Image Builders Liberia is committed to building healthier, safer communities and that starts with taking a united stand against the rising threat of drug abuse.

Alongside other Liberians, we will be walking in solidarity to say NO to drugs and YES to a better future for our young people.

We call on all youth, partners, and community members to join us as we raise our voices and take action for change.

Together, we march. Together, we rise.

About Our SULINA-Project

The SULINA-Project is a community-based initiative by Image Builders Liberia aimed at empowering disabled women, single mothers, adolescent girls, and young women in underserved communities through vocational skills training. Participants receive hands-on training in areas such as tailoring, catering, hair braiding, and cosmetology, equipping them with practical skills to generate income and support their families.

Over a 6-month period, the project will train at least 60 women, helping them become self-reliant and reduce economic dependency. By project completion, we aim for 70% of participants to either launch small businesses or gain employment, thereby fostering long-term resilience and community growth.

While Image Builders Liberia is fully covering tuition, we are seeking $500 USD in support to help provide the tools and startup materials participants need to successfully complete their training and start their ventures. Your support can make a lasting impact in transforming lives and empowering women to lead change in their communities.

Why We Do What We Do – A Message from Image Builders Liberia

At Image Builders Liberia, we believe that everyone deserves a chance not just to survive, but to thrive.

We do what we do because we see the silent struggles. We see the young mother who dropped out of school with no support. We see the girl with dreams in her eyes but no tools in her hands. We see the determined woman whose only barrier is opportunity. And we say to them: you are not forgotten.

Our mission is not just about vocational skills — it’s about restoring hope, opening doors, and lifting people out of the shadows of poverty and neglect. It’s about building lives, one skill, one voice, and one dream at a time.

This vision was born from a place of pain and purpose.

The founder of Image Builders Liberia David Sewarlu grew up in a society where opportunity was scarce, where access to information was almost a privilege, and where talents often withered due to lack of support. He remembers walking long distances just to find a book, missing out on programs because he never heard about them in time, and facing closed doors simply because he had no connections.

But instead of giving up, he made a vow: “If I ever make it through, I’ll build something to help others do the same.” And that promise became Image Builders Liberia.

We are not here because it’s easy. We are here because we’ve lived the hardship, we’ve felt the hunger for opportunity, and we believe in the power of second chances.

So when you see us training, mentoring, and advocating know this: we are driven by purpose. We are here for the girl who needs just one person to believe in her. For the mother who wants to build something better for her children. For the youth who deserves more than a life of survival.

This is why we do what we do.

To everyone who walks through our doors know that your future matters. You are not your past. You are full of promise. And we are here to walk with you, every step of the way.

Together, we are building more than skills. We are building lives.

Empowering Women and Girls: The Launch of the Global Image Professional Training Program

We’re excited to announce the upcoming launch of the Global Image Professional Training Program, a bold step toward empowering single mothers, widows, and adolescent girls in communities along the RIA Highway.

Spearheaded by Image Builders Liberia, this initiative will provide free vocational training to 60 women and girls who often face limited access to education and economic opportunity. Through hands-on skills development, the program aims to equip participants with the tools they need to become self-reliant and positively contribute to their families and communities.

With just $350 needed to cover tools and materials, we’re calling on our partners, supporters, and friends to join us in making this vision a reality.
